Brokeback Mountain has won Best Picture, Best Director, Best Screenplay, Best Song (who cares?), but not Best Actor for our Heath Ledger. That went to Philip Seymour Hoffman for Capote.
Of course, living here in W(ait) A(while), I haven't seen either movie. Brokeback Mountain opens in arthouse release on January 26. You'd think the home of Heath Ledger could do a better job of distribution than that. Maybe the theaters will rethink their strategies based on the success of this movie at the Golden Globes.
I think Heath Ledger will win at the Academy Awards and that's the one everyone remembers.
