Kim Clijsters promised the Antwerp crowd last autumn that she would buy a bottle of champagne for everyone in the crowd if she returned this week ranked in the WTA top spot. Well, she is Number One and she did buy champagne all around. The bill was estimated at $230,000 for 10,000 bottles of the bubbly. When Clijsters won the US Open, she shouted her home village of Bree a round of beer for every inhabitant.
