SuitSat-1: A Dud

The unmanned spacesuit stuffed with a radio transmitter which was pushed away from the ISS yesterday orbited earth twice giving off faint signals to Japan then went silent. A spokesman for NASA said the transmissions ended probably due to cold batteries. Its unaccomplished mission was to float through space transmitting to radio operators throughout the world. At least we got a few great images of the suit with helmet and boots floating away from the ISS into space. It is expected that the suit will burn up in the atmosphere as its orbits gets lower and lower over the next weeks.

Wow! I'm glad I decided not to buy a ham radio for this!
