Aussie and I love lying on the beach looking up at the sky and counting the satellites we see. At left is a photo of the iridium flare which is one of a network of communication satellites which crisscross the sky. Sighting a flare is a thrill! At
this site you can find the times of night (and day) when flares and other satellites will be in your skies. Many of the iridium flares are of a magnitude bright enough to spot during the daylight. You'll need a user name and password to get your location information. The site has lots of helpful information about your night sky.
